no happy end....

I have to say this piece of yours definately threw a heavy influence on the section of fanfic I'm currently working on called "into darkness." I'm so glad I found this!^^ Long story short after I came up with a crazy theory about Link's soul having been split into two pieces when he started to become tainted from constantly fighting so much evil the tainted piece of soul became Dark Link and after centuries the bastard figured out the truth and wanted his soul fused back into one piece. So unknown to Llink upon Dark's defeat, the tainted side was re-absorbed and the resulting refusion of the two halves into one ends up destablizing the hylian, effectively turning him into a monster. The taint takes over at many points though the part I'm currently working on, I imagined this would be the result when he awakens to find he slaughtered everyone in his hometown and chains himself up figuring he won't be able to hurt anyone else like that. Too bad that won't stop it, he'll see just how much of a monster he can truly be. -insert evil laughter here-
